She was predeceased by: her parents, Dr. Paul E. Cook and Mildred Marie Stevens. She is survived by: her friends, Mary and Dr. Atlas Cleveland Dunn, III; her husband Dr. Paul D. Nifong, Jr.; her children, Alexander Paul Nifong, Patrick Stevens Nifong (Ana Linn) and Molly Grace Nifong; her grandson Paul Oscar Nifong; her sister Annette Roberts; and her nephew Johnathan Roberts.
