He was predeceased by: his parents, Eugene Shaver and Emily Davis Shaver; his wife Cecelia "Cele" Hauser Shaver; and his niece Lisa Barber. He is survived by: his daughters, Ashley McCormick (Stephen Ells) of High Point and Suzanne Nguyen (Tuan) of Las Vegas, Nevada; his grandchildren, Logan McCormick Bass (Ryan) of Celebration, Nicholas McCormick (Kaytlin) of Kernersville, Madelyn and Andrew Nguyen of Las Vegas; and his sister Edie Barber (Krider) of Lewisville.
The military honors will be held on Saturday, October 17th 2026 at 1:00 PM at the Forsyth Memorial Park (3815 Yadkinville Rd, Winston-Salem, NC 27106).
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Hospice of the Piedmont online or sent to 1801 Westchester Drive, High Point, NC 27262 (In Memory of Glenn Shaver).
