It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Ruth Shelton Hawkins of Clemmons, North Carolina, who passed away on April 23, 2026, at the age of 95, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Benjamin Shelton and Carrie Shelton; her husband Raymond; and her son Michael. She is survived by: her daughter Regina Schomberg (David) of Clemmons; her daughter-in-law Beverly Hawkins of Statesville; and her grandchildren, Will Schomberg, Ben Schomberg and Andrea McJunkin Watkins.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Mountain Valley Hospice or the Joan and Howard Woltz Hospice Home.
