He is survived by: his mother Mamie Mitchell Cowan; his children, Jamar Williams of Winston-Salem, NC, Ezekiel Curry of Charlotte, NC, Andra'Cowan, Lemisha of Salisbury, NC, Shanika Everhart of Mooresville, NC and Shakayla Cowan of Concord, NC; his siblings, Ashley Cowan of Cleveland, NC, Ruben Cowan of Cleveland, NC, Jerome Cowan of Cleveland, NC, Veneta Cowan of Cleveland, NC, Dr. Ezra Cowan of Charleston, SC and Chavis Cowan (Laura) of Maryland; and his grandchildren, Emory Curry, Ava Curry, Gabriel Curry, Keith (Cowan), EnaLean Inglis and Logan Evans.
