She was predeceased by: her parents, Walter Withers and Barbara Withers; her husband Barlie Mathes; and her brother Bill Withers. She is survived by: her son Richard Mathes (Theresa); her siblings, Virginia Mathes, Rita Knight and Thomas Buttry; and her grandchildren, Jessica Young (Greg), Glenn Mathes (Amanda), Rachel Mathes, William Moose, Le'anna Young, Abilynn Young, Ariel Lozano, Bella Lozano and Ben Beck.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, June 5th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Bunch-Johnson Funeral Home (705 Davie Ave, Statesville, NC 28677). A celebration of life will be held on Thursday, June 5th 2025 from 6:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the same location.
