He was predeceased by: his parents, Roy Lee Carruth and Ritchie Mae Minor Carruth; his wife Annette Evelyn Mills Carruth; his sons, Leon Carruth, Victor Lee Carruth and Rodger Mills Carruth; and his siblings, Mary Morrison, Ann Knox Morrison, Alberta Carruth and J. C. Carruth.
He is survived by: his children, Marilyn Carruth Hall (Fred) of Indian Land, SC, Karen Carruth Cowan (Clyde) of Troutman, NC and Jeffrey Allen Carruth (Stephanie) of Lake Elsinore; and his siblings, Ella C. Daniels of Queens, NY, Ellene Carruth of Queens, NY, Maxine Knox of Statesville, NC, Willie Carruth (Darlene) of Troutman, NC, Harry Carruth of Troutman, NC and Wade Knox (Rachel) of Statesville, NC.
Visitation will be held on Friday, August 1st 2025 from 10:30 AM to 11:00 AM at the Mt. Tabor Presbyterian Church (935 Mt Tabor Church Rd, Cleveland, NC 27013). A funeral service will be held on Friday, August 1st 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
