Jean McArtan Brown Obituary

With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Jean McArtan Brown of Climax, North Carolina, who passed away on June 17, 2023 at the age of 88. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Angus McArtan and Myrtle McArtan; and her siblings, Fred McArtan, John McArtan (Boe), Alma Kennedy, Alice Wilder and Catherine Barnes.

She is survived by: her significant other Leon Brown; her children, Leon Brown Jr. and Sarah Turner (Joe); her grandchildren, Joseph Paul Turner (Maddie), Michael Turner (Tabatha), Courtney Brown and Ashley Brown; her great grandchildren, Milliana and Saylor Turner; her sister Evelyn Bordeaux; her daughter-in-law Debbie Brown; and her friend Leon Brown. She is also survived by friends as well as her church family.
