He is survived by: his wife Jeanette Brown Cox; his children, John Allen Cox, Jr. (Kris) of Liberty and Sherri Thompson of Pleasant Garden; his grandchildren, Steven Freeman of Pleasant Garden, Kacie Cox of High Point, Shannon Scarponi (Douglas) of Oregon and Joseph Allen Cox (Hayley) of Pleasant Garden; and his great grandchildren, Carson Freeman of Madison, Haydn, Graylin Cox of Pleasant Garden and Lenox Scarponi of Oregon.
