He is survived by: his children, Edwin Ray Spell (Patsy) of Wallace and Jackie Spell Murray (Charles) of Clinton; his grandchildren, Edwin Darrell Spell (Meredith) of Belville, Kim Spell Jones (Ray) of Beulavlle and Heather Murray Watson (Derek) of Clinton; his siblings, Elbert Nixton Spell (Alease) of Clinton, Welton Spell of Hope Mills and Brenda Spell Hall (Colon) of Hope Mills; and his stepbrother Burnice Melvin (Faye). He is also survived by 8 great grandchildren and 1 great-great grandson.
