He is survived by: his wife Brenda Lynn Barts Matthis; his children, Colton Bryant, Kaidan Bryant of Roseboro, Jennifer Sutton of Warsaw, Veronica Darden of Faison and Chris Spell of Clinton; and his sisters, Kay Hobbs of Clinton, Betty Beasley of Clinton and Hazel Catlett of Vancouver, Washington. He is also survived by eight grandchildren and 1 great grandchild.
