He is survived by: his daughter Alesia Johnson (Brandon); his grandchildren, Mason Spell, Brandelin Johnson and Brantley Johnson; his sister Kay Hairr Pope; his niece Dora Jackson Cox (Wilmington); his nephews, Kenneth Jackson of Scranton, PA and Nelson Cannady of Clinton; and his close friend Bobbie Jean Spell.
A memorial service was held on Saturday, August 29th 2026 at 1:00 PM at the Crumpler-Honeycutt Funeral Home (118 Fayetteville St, Clinton, NC 28328).
