He is survived by: his children, Melissa Newsome of Smithfield and Shannon Wilson (Michele) of Four Oaks; his wife Edith Bass Wilson; his siblings, James Wilson (Pauline) of Roseboro, Mary Ann Naylor of Warsaw and Steve Wilson (Carolyn) of Roseboro; and his grandchildren, Chance Norton, Lane Newsome, Matthew Summers and Logan Newsome.
