He is survived by: his wife June Gayle Vann Spell; his children, Scott Spell (Gwen) and Deanna Tyndall (Ed); his grandchildren, Kristen Sink (Adam), Keith Carter (Brittany), Jenna Hunt (Owen) and Miranda Warren (Trey); his great grandchildren, Parker Sink, Walker Hunt, Willow Hunt, Alanna Carey and Rilynn McLamb; and his siblings, Dianne Cashwell and Bobby Spell (Rhonda).
A funeral service was held on Monday, September 14th 2026 at 6:30 PM at the Clinton Family Worship Center (103 Raiford St, Clinton, NC 28382). A burial was held on Tuesday, September 15th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the Rowan Baptist Church Cemetery (701 Rowan Rd, Clinton, NC 28328).
