As we bid adieu to Dixie's earthly form, let us not dwell on the void left in her wake, but rather celebrate the legacy of love and inspiration Dixie has bequeathed us. For though she may have departed from our sight, her spirit remains a timeless beacon, guiding loved ones through the labyrinth of life's journey.
She is survived by: her children, Bronsie L. Simmons, Sharon Bethea, Sondra Simmons, Augustine Mitchell and Ethelene McIntyre; and her nephew Craig Simmons. She is also survived by other relatives and friends.
Viewing was held on Friday, July 25th 2025 from 12:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Butler & Son Funeral Home (10501 Roseboro Hwy, Roseboro, NC 28382). A funeral service was held on Saturday, July 26th 2025 at 12:00 PM at the BIG Piney Grove Missionary Baptist Church (3245 Big Piney Grove Rd, Clinton, NC 28328).
