She is survived by: her children, Marie Bennett of Columbus, GA, Yvonne Thorpe of Clinton, NC, Cynthia Lawson of Clinton, NC, Jackie Ashford of Roseboro, NC, Moses Simmons of Clarksville, TN, Kenneth Simmons of Plattsburgh, NY, Jonathan Simmons of Roseboro, NC and Curtis Simmons of Clinton, NC; and her brothers, Bobbie Ashford of Clinton, NC and Jimmy Underwood of Clinton, NC. She is also survived by 14 grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren.
