She was predeceased by: her parents, Luby Boston Wilson and Emma Lou Pope Wilson; her son Jeffery Lynn Gainey; and her brother Vaden Wilson. She is survived by: her husband J. L. Gainey; her daughters, Barbara Gainey Carter (Terry) and Beverly Bradshaw (Scott); her grandchildren, Breanna Avery (Jonathon), Haley Bauser (Thorn), Blair Bradshaw and Jared Gainey (Samantha Britt); her great grandchild Sawyer Avery; and her daughter-in-law Joan Gainey. She is also survived by her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Monday, October 5th 2026 from 12:00 PM to 1:45 PM at the Mary's Chapel Church (2236 Keener Rd, Clinton, NC 28328). A funeral service will be held on Monday, October 5th 2026 at 2:00 PM at the same location. A burial will be held on Monday, October 5th 2026 at the Clinton City Cemetery (103 Raiford St, Clinton, NC 28328).
