He was predeceased by: his parents, Leonard Wood Tyler and Pearlie Mae Hardin Tyler; and his siblings, Eugene Tyler, Carlise Tyler, Bobby Lamb Tyler, Talmadge Tyler, Pete Tyler, Redelle Tyler and Marvin Tyler.
He is survived by: his daughter Allyson Mitchell (George Mitchell); his grandchildren, Kimberly Hawkins, Sonja Maynor (Stephen) and Keara Mitchell; his siblings, Wilbert Tyler, Ronald Tyler (Linda), Lannie Ray Tyler (Annette) and Jeannette Tyler Hunt; and his caregivers, Gail Faison, Shirley Faison and Scottie. He is also survived by nine great-grandchildren; four great-great grandchildren.
