It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Ethel Blackman of Clinton, North Carolina, who passed away on May 2, 2025, at the age of 85, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
In the vast expanse of eternity, Ethel shall find rest, cradled in the arms of everlasting peace. And as we bid Ethel farewell, her loved ones carry with them the precious gift of her memory, a beacon of hope guiding them through the shadows of sorrow towards the light of a new dawn.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Marvin Anderson Barefoot and Ethel Roena Hudson Barefoot; her son Ken Blackman; her granddaughter Lilian Blackman; and her siblings, Thomas Barefoot, Myrtle Smith, Ada LeHardy and Ruth Metcalf.
She is survived by: her husband Charles Blackman; and her sons, Mitch Blackman (Tammy) of Clayton and Mark Blackman (Lynne) of Spartanburg, SC. She is also survived by six grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
