He was predeceased by: his parents, Hurman Lee Knowles and Fannie Earl Holland Knowles; his wife Mavis Lorise Honeycutt Knowles; his grandson Jonathan King; and his siblings, Edith Jackson, Leroy Knowles, Furman Knowles and Wilbert Knowles.
He is survived by: his children, Connie Knowles, Gary Knowles (Denise) and Angela Hart (John); his grandchildren, Stephanie Norris (Daniel), Nick Bartley Spell (Evelyn), Matthew Scholl (Tiffany), Brian Scholl, Tracey Parsons (Daniel) and Bradley King (Halie); his great grandchildren, Drake Spell, Luke Norris, Alessa Spell, Gracie Douglas, Nick Spell Jr., Kaleb Burgess, Braxton Scholl, Cooper Norris, Shaniya Spell, Oliver Monero, Bladen Burgess, Leila Parsons, Finley Scholl and Zaylen Parsons; and his sister Silvonia Knowles Hall.
Visitation was held on Friday, May 30th 2025 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Crumpler-Honeycutt Funeral Home (118 Fayetteville St, Clinton, NC 28328). A funeral service was held on Saturday, May 31st 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Old Mill Church of God (190 Williams Lake Rd, Roseboro, NC 28382). A burial was held on Saturday, May 31st 2025 at the same location.
