He was predeceased by: his parents, E. N. Lindsay and Ida Sutton Lindsay; his stepmother Mary Belle Lindsay; and his siblings, Elmon, Jesse, Keith Lindsay, Grace Barwick, Edna Jones and Geneva Adams.
He is survived by: his friend Moses King; his siblings, Glenn Lindsay, Doris Wade and Judy Lewis; his wife Velva Boyette Lindsay; his children, Angela Faith Lindsay (Bobby Stancil), Rhonda Lindsay Strickland (Sherrill) and Timothy Franklin Lindsay (Beverly Wells Page); his great grandchild Allan Douglas Nanney III (Tripp); his children, Violet, Logan and Hillary Caldwell Fordi (Bob); his granddaughter Ada; his children, Burroughs, Wallace and Clint Lindsay Strickland (Allison); his grandchildren, Carter, Murray Miles and Watson; his children, Alice Freeman Lindsay and Brighton Ashley Lindsay; Tim Lindsay and Clinton. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
