He was predeceased by: his parents, E. N. Lindsay and Ida Sutton Lindsay; his stepmother Mary Belle Lindsay; and his siblings, Elmon, Jesse, Keith Lindsay, Grace Barwick, Edna Jones and Geneva Adams.
He is survived by: his wife Velva Gray Boyette Lindsay; his friend Moses King; his siblings, Glenn Lindsay, Doris Wade and Judy Lewis; his children, Angela Faith Lindsay (Bobby Stancil), Rhonda Lindsay Strickland (Sherrill) and Timothy Franklin Lindsay (Beverly Wells Page); his great grandchild Allan Douglas Nanney III (Tripp); his children, Violet, Logan and Hillary Caldwell Fordi (Bob); his granddaughter Ada; his children, Burroughs, Wallace and Clint Lindsay Strickland (Allison); his grandchildren, Carter, Murray Miles and Watson; his children, Alice Freeman Lindsay and Brighton Ashley Lindsay; and also, Tim Lindsay and Clinton. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, July 26th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 7:30 PM, on Sunday, July 27th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 7:30 PM and on Monday, July 28th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:15 AM. A funeral service will be held on Monday, July 28th 2025 at 11:30 AM at the Grove Park Baptist Church (609 Northeast Blvd, Clinton, NC 28328).
In lieu of flowers the family would ask and appreciate donations be made to Grove Park Baptist Church, 609 Northeast Blvd, Clinton NC 28328.
