He was predeceased by: his parents, Napolean Beamon and Thyra Beamon. He is survived by: his wife Arlene Jeffress (Arlene Beamon); his sons, Garfield Jr., Tyrone and Timothy; and his sister Hettie Summerlin of North Carolina. He is also survived by three grandchildren, four great-grandchildren, and a host of cousins, nephews, and nieces.
