Gloria leaves behind cherished memories for friends, family, and all who had the privilege of knowing her. Gloria’s life was marked by connections and experiences that touched those around her. Though she is no longer with us, the moments shared, the laughter, and the support she offered will continue to resonate. All who knew Gloria will carry forward her memory in their hearts.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Robert Lee and Eula Mae Tucker Sanderson; her brother Lee Sanderson; and her grandsons, Tommy Whaley and Joseph Taylor.
She is survived by: her children, Cynthia Pate (Jarod) of Pikeville, Victoria Mobley of Burgaw, Melissa Vega (Vonzell) of Goldsboro, Jackie Tadeo of Watha and April Trujillo (Justin) of Wilmington; her siblings, Bobbie Ann Odom (Goldsboro) of Stevens Mill and Robert Sanderson (Donna) of Stevens Mill; and her friend Ronald Sanderson of Clinton.
A celebration of life was held on Monday, August 24th 2026 from 5:30 PM to 8:30 PM at the Home of Cynthia Pate- Wanda Drive.
