She was predeceased by: her father Langdon F. Thornton; her spouse Thomas Carroll Hobbs; and her siblings, Miriam T. Gore, Bromley Thornton and Eldon Thornton.
She is survived by: her son Thomas Hobbs of Raleigh; and her brother Bobby Thornton of Clinton. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
