He is survived by: his wife Mary Nell; his son James; his grandchildren, Zachary James Darden (Maggie Langston Darden), Peter Franklin Darden, James Bizzell Darden V, Benjamin Eure Darden, Caroline Elaine Darden and Henry Franklin Darden; his siblings, Steven Blaine Darden, William Ronald Darden (Terry Childress Darden) and Denise Taylor Darden (Herman Grady Morgan); and his brother-in-law James Herman Watkins, Jr. (Wanda Longmire Watkins). He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
