She was predeceased by: her parents, Doris Lee King Hollingsworth and S. Lowell Hollingsworth; her husband Hubert S. Peterson; her brothers, Samuel Lowell and Gary William Hollingsworth; and her sister-in-law Jane P. Hollingsworth.

She is survived by: her sister Sharon H. Pearsall of Clinton; her niece Robin H. Williford (Joey) of Newton Grove; her nephews, Stewart Lowell Hollingsorth (Roxanne) of Fairmont and Samuel Kevin Hollingsworth; and her sister-in-law Mary Hollingworth.
