He was predeceased by: his parents, Stanley Carr and Lynette Sutton Carr. He is survived by: his wife Jackie Robinson Carr; his children, Joshua R. Pope (Fallon) of Clinton and Camryn C. Wilson (Mason) of Clinton; his sister Karen C. Gearing (John) of Raleigh; and his grandchildren, Taylor, Sara Kate, Ryan Pope and Carrington Wilson.
Visitation was held on Sunday, October 4th 2026 at 12:00 PM and on Tuesday, October 6th 2026 from 1:00 PM to 1:45 PM at the Keener Methodist Church (6415 Keener Rd, Clinton, NC 28328). A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, October 6th 2026 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
