She was predeceased by: her parents, Minson Barefoot and Mattie Bass Barefoot; her husband Harold V. Strickland; and her sister Wanda Lee Penny "Buck". She is survived by: her daughters, Lisa Ezzell of Clinton and Sheila Kay McLamb of Clinton; her granddaughter Kayla Jordan; her sister Lora Mae Westbrook of Newton Grove; and her pet Bengal. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Monday, September 29th 2025 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Royal-Hall Funeral Home Chapel (301 McKoy St, Clinton, NC 28328). A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, September 30th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Elizabeth Missionary Baptist Church (1481 Fleet Cooper Rd, Roseboro, NC 28328).
