He is survived by: his wife Gail West Herring; his children, Bradley Devone Herring (Barbara) of Clinton, Ryan Lee Herring (Paulette) of Clinton and Jana Lynette Pope (James) of Coats; his grandchildren, Casen of Clinton, Logan of Clinton, Aubrey of Clinton, Ansley Herring of Clinton, Luke and Jase Pope of Coats; his sister Shelia Herring Moore (Bob) of Raleigh; and his aunts and uncles, Donald Joe Herring, A. T. Herring and Mildred Fann Quick.
In lieu of flowers, Mike's heartfelt request was that memorials be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, P. O. Box 1999, Memphis, TN 38101.
