She was predeceased by : her parents, William Claude Byrd and Maggie Holland; her son Josh Daniel Gautier; and her siblings, Danny Ray Byrd, Caroline Long and Claudia Thornton.

She is survived by : her husband Oscar T. Fann; her son Eric Franklin Gautier of Clinton; her stepsons, Lathon Thomas Fann of Kentucky and Justin Heath Fann of Lumberton; and her siblings, Bo'Byrd of Clinton, Judy Horne of Clinton, Terry Tart of Wallace and Debbie Bradshaw of Clinton.

A funeral service was held on Sunday, April 7th 2024 at 2:00 PM at the Piney Green Missionary Baptist Church (6040 High House Rd, Salemburg, NC 28385).
