She was predeceased by: her parents, Larry Martin and Ruby Brakefield Martin. She is survived by: her husband Jack Waters; her children, Nicole Smithwick (David) of Chapel Hill and Ryan Waters (Kathryn) of Clayton; her brother Lester Martin of Charlotte; and her grandchildren, Jackson, Madison Smithwick, Nathaniel and Reya Waters.
