With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Paul Ray Darden of Clinton, North Carolina, who passed away on October 24, 2023 at the age of 61. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Billy Ray Best and Addie Darden Smith; and his grandparents, Claude, Estelle Darden, Charlie and Leona Best.
He is survived by: his brother Earl Ray Darden (Elwinna); his wife Ola Darden; his children, Elder Crystal Bennett (David) of Clinton, Wanda Murphy of Roseboro, Aliyah Jones of Charlotte, Donnell Chance of Dunn, Kerry Underwood of Newton and Emennauel Johnson of Charlotte; his sisters, Becky Wright (Gerard) of Atlanta, GA, Alice Williams (Dudley) and Michelle Shipman (Colby) of Virginia; and his close friend Dorothy Faison. He is also survived by uncles, grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
