She was predeceased by: her parents, Morris B. Malpass and Alice Lockamy Malpass; and her husband Gary Blackman. She is survived by: her children, Shannon Sessoms, Brandon Sessoms (Amy) and Chad Sessoms (Nicole); her grandchildren, Andruw Brunson, Macailynn Sessoms (Jeremy) and Brandi Sessoms; her great grandchildren, Rosalie Ibarra, Alora Ibarra, Avery Cash, Sophia Cash and Iris Lee; her siblings, Ryan Malpass (Sharry), Randy Malpass and Regina Bryan (Johnny King); her cousin Patricia L. Royal; and her pet Daisy. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
A memorial service was held on Thursday, August 27th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the Crumper-Honeycutt Funeral Home (118 Fayetteville St, Clinton, NC 28328).
