He is survived by: his wife Edna Jenice Tew Bass; his sons, Ricky Donald Bass of Clinton and Thomas Wayne Bass of Clayton; his friend Paul Daniel of Durham; his grandsons, Conner and Corey Bass; and his caregivers, Katie, Betty, Phyllis, Cindy, Frances, Glenda and Kitty Askins.
Visitation was held on Friday, October 16th 2026 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Royal-Hall Funeral Home Chapel (301 McKoy St, Clinton, NC 28328). A funeral service was held on Saturday, October 17th 2026 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
