He is survived by: his wife Jenny Gayle Reynolds Beard of Clinton; his children, Caleb Thornton (Cameron) of Morehead City, NC, Eliza Carr of Morehead City, NC, Sadie of Morehead City, NC, Ann Bostic Thornton of Clinton and Estella Rose of Clinton; his brother Steve Beard of Yadkinville, NC; and his cousins, Tommy Shaw (Mary Anna) of Bunnlevel, NC, Billy Lasater of Broadway, NC. and Cindy Lasater (Craig Buchanan) of Broadway, NC..
A celebration of life was held on Sunday, June 1st 2025 at 3:00 PM at the Clinton City Cemetery (103 Raiford St, Clinton, NC 28328).
