Ruby Byrd Obituary
We are sad to announce that on May 8, 2026, at the age of 88, Ruby Byrd (Clinton, North Carolina) passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
In the vast expanse of eternity, may Ruby find peace everlasting, cradled in the gentle embrace of the universe. And as we stand on the shores of remembrance, may her legacy inspire us to live each day with purpose, passion, and profound gratitude for the gift of life itself.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Archie L. Burnett and Flora Jones Burnett Jacobs; her husband Harold Gene Byrd; and her siblings, Ellen Jones, Saretha Barattain, Al Burnett and Frank Burnett.
She is survived by: her siblings, Bernice Long (Gilmer) and Johnny Jacobs (Carol). She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
A graveside service was held on Thursday, May 14th 2026 at 3:00 PM at the New Bethel Baptist Church (1165 Mt Moriah Church Rd, Clinton, NC 28328).
