He was predeceased by: his parents, Pauline Fryar and James Fryar; and his siblings, Elton Fryar and Elizabeth Blackburn. He is survived by: his wife Patt Fryar; his daughters, Kim Stroud (Robert) of Clinton and Lynn Barksdale of Huntersville; his grandchildren, Grayson Stroud of Clinton, Erin Richardson of Winston-Salem and Lauren Barksdale of Huntersville; his sister Margaret Batts (Bobby) of Suffolk; and his nephew Douglas Fryar. He is also survived by three great-grandchildren.
