He is survived by: his wife Carol Cox of Clinton, NC; his children, LaVonda Williams of Riverdale, GA, Sandra Johnson of Cincinnati, Anthea Cox-Scruggs of Powhatan, VA, Tiona Carr of Clinton, NC, Tia Olmeda of Blythewood, SC, Larry Simmons of Fayetteville, NC and Broderick Cox of Dunn, NC; and his sisters, Brenda Newkirk of Magnolia, NC, Patricia Daughtry of Clinton, NC and Lonnie Smith of Clinton, NC. He is also survived by 19 grandchildren and 19 great grandchildren.
