He was predeceased by: his mother Varita Charlotta Parris; his former wife Joyce Gaskin; and his sisters, Patricia McNabb and Marcia Gaskin. He is survived by: his fiancé Gretha Brunson; his daughter Tara Morris; his stepchildren, Michael Ashley (Christie), Kristi Blackwell (Donnell), Lawanda Ashley and Tata Oates (Brian); his sister Deborah Davis (Stephen); and his grandchildren, Kaia Morris and Elena Morris. He is also survived by Twelve grandchildren and five great-grandchildren that resides in North Carolina and a host of nieces, nephews and friends.
