It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Patrick Jennings Powell of Clyde, North Carolina, born in Longview, Washington, who passed away on June 19, 2023, at the age of 82, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by : his father Tibbie Burress Powell; and his brother Hugh Powell. He is survived by : his wife Gail Kirkpatrick Powell; his daughter Holly (Tim Trull); his grandsons, Milas (Emily Trull) and Max Trull; his siblings, Sam Powell and Joan Ensley; his nephew Sammie Powell; his niece Meg Duffy Williamson (family: Jay, Henry, Ruby); and also Tate. He is also survived by his family and friends, and especially his grandsons.

A memorial service was held on Saturday, June 24th 2023 at 2:00 PM at the Elizabeth Chapel United Methodist Church (98 Elizabeth Chapel Rd, Waynesville, NC 28786). Visitation will be held on Monday, June 24th 2024 at 3:00 PM at the same location.
