He is survived by: his wife Lola Mesial Sharpe; his sons, Tim Sharpe (Cindy), Kevin Sharpe and Stephen Sharpe (Brook); his grandchildren, Dakota Sharpe (Chandler), Levi Sharpe (Summar), Chayton Sharpe, Chelsea Newberry (Travis), Katie Sanford (TJ), Kayson Cody (Will), Jesson Jones (Katie), Marley Sharpe and Lynley Sharpe; his great grandchildren, Finn Sharpe, Oakley, Piper, Paxton Sharpe, Tommy, Millie Newberry, Wesley Dorris, Timothy, Teagan, James Sanford, Kingsley, Baylor Cody and Haylen Jones; his brother Joseph Roy Sharpe; and his goddaughter Pam Lance.
Visitation was held on Sunday, August 30th 2026 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the Faith Community Church (289 Industrial Pk Dr, Waynesville, NC 28786). A funeral service was held on Sunday, August 30th 2026 at 4:00 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Broyhill Children'sHome in Ray's memory.
