He was predeceased by: his parents, Turner Al and Retha Smith Gardner; and his sisters, Virginia Gardner and Retha Elmore. He is survived by: his wife Barbara Gardner; his children, Kimry Hugh Gardner and Shari Gardner Howard (Andy); his grandchildren, Chris Gardner, Drew Howard (Katie) and Holly Anderson (Brett); his great grandchildren, Maggie Howard and Nash Anderson; and his siblings, Gaynelle Holder and Alfred Gardner.
