It is with great sadness that we announce the death of John Samuel Pond Jr. of Colerain, North Carolina, born in Norfolk, Virginia, who passed away on May 5, 2023, at the age of 70, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, John Samuel, Sr. and Flo Foxwell Pond of Prospect, VA.; his sister Kathleen Pond Paul; his wife Sharon Johnson Pond; his son Marcus Ryan Pond of Colerain; and his siblings, Cassie Pond Loiercio of Virginia Beach, VA and Richard Pond (Wendy) of Luray, VA. He was also cherished by numerous nieces, nephews, and extended family.
