As William departs from this earthly realm, his essence lingers — a whisper on the wind, a ripple on the water — a testament to the enduring power of love to transcend the boundaries of life and death. Though William may no longer walk beside us, his spirit lives on in the memories and the legacy William leaves behind.
He was predeceased by: his parents, William Spruill, Sr. and Ledina White Spruill. He is survived by: his wife Dianne Cunningham Spruill of Bronx, NY; and his sisters, Carol Spruill of Norfolk, VA and Shelia Spruill of Norfolk, VA. He is also survived by three grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and other family members.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, October 4th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the Zion Hill Baptist Church (2321 NC-45, Colerain, NC 27924).
