He was predeceased by: his parents, Charlie Reed and Virginia Beatrice Holt; his son David Holt; his son-in-law Paul Hodges; his siblings, Margret, Dorothy, Endra, Shirley, Billy and Junior; his wife Patricia Holt; his sisters, Barbra, Brenda and Becky; his children, Patti Portmess (Keith) of Colfax, Buck Holt (Cathy) of Stokesdale, Jim Holt (Michelle) of Greensboro and Rhonda Hodges of Colfax; and his daughter-in-law Karen Holt of Colfax.
He is survived by: his grandchildren, Dakota Holt, Kaitlin Wilson, Danielle Mabe (Cameron), Courtney Maness (Cole), Cassidy Holt, Kayley Hodges, Dacyn Holt (Jessica) and Kelsey Hodges; and his great grandchildren, Sophia, Addison, Mackenzie, Paisley, David, Colton, Zoey and Josie.
