She was predeceased by: her parents, John H. Bivens and Nannie G. Bivens; her husband James Edward Hayes; her daughter Karen Hayes White; and her siblings, Frances Osborn, Winfred Bivens and Lavearn Floyd.
She is survived by: her daughter Toni Hayes Gray (Tom) of High Point; her son-in-law Wally White (Virginia) of Lake Monticello; her grandchildren, Meredith Gray Shaw (Mike), Taylor Lynn Gray and James Cameron White; her great grandchildren, Graylyn James Shaw and Stetson Hayes Curry; and her sister June Edwards. She is also survived by nieces and nephews.
A celebration of life was held on Friday, September 25th 2026 at 2:00 PM at the High Point Friends Meeting (800 Quaker Ln, High Point, NC 27262).
