Catherine Ann leaves behind cherished memories for friends, family, and all who had the privilege of knowing her. Catherine Ann’s life was marked by connections and experiences that touched those around her. Though she is no longer with us, the moments shared, the laughter, and the support she offered will continue to resonate. All who knew Catherine Ann will carry forward her memory in their hearts.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Harold Westerdahl and Catherine Westerdahl; her brother William Westerdahl; and her granddaughter Catherine Ann Hackim. She is survived by: her husband Charles William Freeman; her children, Becky Blaser (Jeff) of Burlington, Jennifer Hackim (Ed) of Durham and John Freeman (Kacy) of Atlanta, Georgia.; and her sister Jane Fontius of Brentwood, California. She is also survived by eight grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.
A reception was held on Friday, September 11th 2026 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the Sandy Ridge (1575 John Knox Dr, Colfax, NC 27235).
