She was predeceased by: her parents, Nathaniel Pruitt and Minnie Bullins Pruitt; her husband Phillip "Wade" Shields; her daughter Donna Kay Shields; and her siblings, Mazie Matthews and Lewis "Jack" Pruitt.
She is survived by: her sons, Phillip Shields (Gwyn) of High Point and Doug Shields (Judy) of Kernersville; her grandchildren, Nicholas, Kristin, Hannah and Dustin; her great grandchildren, Emily, Macie, Grayson, Carter, Summer, Callie, Lainie and Dakota; and her brother Terry Pruitt of Walkertown.
