He was predeceased by: his parents, Dr. Reno Kirby Farrington and Mary Louise Baily Farrington; his siblings, Robert Bailey Farrington and Nan Farrington Chritton; his wife Frances Elizabeth Tate Farrington; and his children, John Kirby Farrington, Jr., Teresa Lynn Farrington and Mari Katherine Farrington.
He is survived by: his daughter Elizabeth Anne Farrington; his daughter-in-law Molly Gundy Farrington; his grandchildren, Ryan Bailey Farrington, John Kirby Farrington, III, Lindsay Marie Blackburn (Justin) and Katherine Bailey Blackburn; and his great grandchild Cameron McGlinn Ceasar.
A memorial service will be held on Sunday, May 18th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Sandy Ridge (Healthcare Multipurpose Room) (1575 John Knox Dr, Colfax, NC 27235). Visitation will be held on Sunday, May 18th 2025 from 3:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the same location.
