He was predeceased by: his wife Martha Wells Haworth; his parents, Chester Haworth, Sr. and Sara Haworth; his sister Dr. Eldora Terrell (Gene); and his brother-in-law Rawley Young.
He is survived by: his children, John Haworth, Jr. (Will Barrus) of High Point, NC, Dr. Charles Haworth (Christel) of Fayetteville, NC and Catherine Matthews (Steven) of Burlington, NC.; his grandchildren, Nathaniel Matthews (Caroline), Nicholas Matthews (Madison), Connor Haworth, Christian Haworth and Curran Haworth; his great grandchild McKinley Matthews; and his siblings, William Haworth (Shirley), Dr. Chester Haworth (Brenda) and Margaret Young. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, and great-great-nieces.
Visitation was held on Friday, May 2nd 2025 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Sandy Ridge (1575 John Knox Dr, Colfax, NC 27235). A funeral service was held on Saturday, May 3rd 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Springfield Friends Meeting (555 E Springfield Rd, High Point, NC 27263).
