He is survived by: his siblings, Margaret Ann Triplett and Robert Arthur Vaughan; his wife Karen Schwebs Vaughan; his children, Kalen Johnson (Gary) of Raleigh, Richard Vaughan (Elaine) of Hilton Head and Ann Casey of Austin, Texas.; his grandchildren, Kristin Ellison (Brian) of Apex, Kelly Bryson (Jamar) of Raleigh, Matt Johnson (Diana) of Raleigh, Bryce Vaughan of New York City, Grayson Vaughan of New York City, Abigail Peter (Chris) of Austin and Megan Ryan (Travis) of Austin, Texas.; his great grandchildren, Wyatt Ellison, Madelyn Ellison, Aidan Bryson, Connor Bryson, Owen Bryson, Amy Johnson, Sara Johnson, Tommy Ryan, Max Ryan, Lily Peter and Riley Peter; and his pet Cooper.
